Practical exercises: painting a sphere to create volume, painting an object using only two colors to understand the importance of values, painting an apple using a limited number of brushstrokes, painting a broken amphora to develop your artistic eye, painting an object upside down to detach from preconceived representations, painting a blurred landscape, painting drapery to learn realistic rendering, and painting a ribbon to learn how to work with fine details.
